Corporate Recycling Program

WASTE MANAGEMENT OF PAPER
Goal is to recycle 85% of all paper waste. Non-coated paper materials are to be recycled through Sunset Scavenger of San Francisco, CA. 60% of coated paper materials will be recycled as packing and shipping materials.

WASTE MANAGEMENT OF PACKAGING & SHIPPING MATERIALS
Boxes that are in acceptable condition for shipping will be reused. All packaging foam and peanuts that are received in incoming packaging will be recycled into outgoing packaging. When recycled packing peanuts are exhausted, Priority Architectural Graphics only purchases cornstarch based biodegradable peanuts. This product decomposes in water leaving no toxic waste and is FDA approved.

WASTE MANAGEMENT OF OTHER SOFT SIGNAGE & BANNERS
A significant amount of non usable stock is generated from the production of banners, awnings and other non rigid signage through overruns and mis-runs. Priority Architectural Graphics works with a product maker named Jenny Hurth, www.jennyhurth.com who creates custom bags, notebooks, curtains and other consumer items from digitally printed sign stock.

WASTE MANAGEMENT OF OTHER SIGNAGE COMPONENTS & WASTE MATERIALS
The signage manufacturing process creates a significant amount of unused product including vinyl scraps, acrylic scraps, wood panels, and unused overstock. Priority Architectural Graphics works closely with SCRAP, a creative reuse center, store and workshop space founded in 1976 in San Francisco, California. SCRAP takes donations of re-usable materials such as textiles, paper and plastics collected from businesses, institutions and individuals and distributed to art and educational groups.
