San Francisco International Airport’s Harvey Milk Terminal 1, a $2.5 billion redevelopment project completed in June 2024, has transformed the passenger experience with modern amenities and sustainable design. This extensive renovation introduced a new north check-in lobby, a mezzanine-level security checkpoint, additional aircraft gates, and a connecting walkway linking all terminals post-security. The terminal’s design embraces “Bay Area Naturalism,” incorporating natural materials and colors that reflect the region’s environment, and has achieved LEED Platinum certification for its energy-efficient features.

Priority Architectural Graphics played a pivotal role in this landmark project by collaborating with SFO, Gensler and Hensel Phelps to fabricate and install comprehensive signage throughout Harvey Milk Terminal. Our contributions included thousands of wayfinding signs designed to guide passengers seamlessly from curbside to check-in, through security checkpoints, and onward to their gates. Priority’s expertise in delivering high-quality, functional aviation related signage solutions significantly enhanced the terminal’s user experience, ensuring clear navigation and contributing to the overall success of the award-winning terminal.
