CEO Juliana Choy Sommer has announced the promotion of Maria Santana to President of the company, continuing Priority’s longstanding commitment to an all-female executive and management team driven by excellence, experience and diversity.
With her promotion to President, Maria Santana capitalizes on a 25+ year career in the signage and construction industry working at Priority Architectural Graphics. At Priority, she worked her way up from Administrative Assistant to Project Manager to VP of Operations before becoming President.
Santana comments, “I’m excited to lead Priority into its next chapter and looking forward to continuing to drive innovation and success alongside our incredible team. I’m proud to be part of a company that leads by its core values of learning and growing, collaboration, and transparency.”
The company continues its strong trajectory of growth, doubling revenues since emerging from the COVID Pandemic and completing keystone projects including the June 2024 $2.5B relaunch of SFO’s Terminal One with Hensel Phelps and Gensler and the November 2024 opening of Terminal 3’s new interim tunnels linking Terminal 3 to F and G gates as the United hub readies for its $2.3B renovation being spearheaded by Turner Construction and Gensler.
In 2021, Priority Architectural Graphics acquired VKK Signmakers, deepening the company’s technological capabilities and expanding its relationships with top developers and general contractors across the multi-family housing, government, healthcare, transportation, education and technology sectors.
In recognition of Santana’s accomplishments, company CEO Juliana Choy Sommer notes:
“As President, Maria will be leading operational excellence at our company. Her strategic approach to leadership and development is unparalleled in our industry. She has been instrumental to our trajectory of growth and will be the steward of our future growth at Priority Architectural Graphics.
I could not be prouder to be part of a female-driven executive team leading a signage company which employs some of the best craftspeople and artisans in the industry, working with some of the best clients in the world.”
