Francisco Park, a 4.5-acre public space in San Francisco’s Russian Hill neighborhood, opened in April 2022, transforming the historic Francisco Reservoir site into a vibrant community asset. The park offers expansive lawns, a children’s playground, a dog play area, a community garden, and picnic spots, all set against panoramic views of landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz Island. The design thoughtfully preserves elements of the original 1860 reservoir, including sections of the brick flooring and berm wall, seamlessly blending historical significance with modern recreational amenities.

Priority Architectural Graphics collaborated with Cahill Contractors and 450 Architects to enhance the park’s aesthetic and educational appeal through a comprehensive signage program. This initiative included interpretive signs that narrate the site’s rich history, featuring porcelain enamel graphics mounted on freestanding and fence-mounted frames throughout the park. Additionally, Priority developed a donor recognition system, prominently displayed on the berm wall and along the main staircase, with precision-crafted stainless-steel panels honoring contributors. Our effort to create seamless integration of signage elements significantly contribute to the park’s inviting atmosphere, making Priority Architectural Graphics a trusted partner in bringing Francisco Park to life.
