Golden Gate Park, San Francisco’s premier urban oasis, spans over 1,000 acres and attracts millions of visitors annually. By 2012, the park’s wayfinding signage had become outdated, necessitating a comprehensive update to enhance navigation and visitor experience. The San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department, in collaboration with LC General Engineering and Construction, Inc., initiated a project to revitalize the park’s signage system.

Priority Architectural Graphics was entrusted with the fabrication and installation of the new wayfinding signage. The project involved extensive on-site assessments, with the Priority team traversing the park to determine optimal placements and orientations for the signs. The updated signs featured porcelain enameled steel panels, chosen for their durability and clarity, ensuring they withstand the park’s environmental conditions while providing clear guidance to visitors. This strategic approach significantly improved navigation throughout the park, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
