1064 Mission Street stands as a transformative addition to San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood, representing the city’s largest permanent supportive housing development to date. Completed in 2022, this six-story complex offers 256 studio apartments tailored for formerly homeless adults and seniors. Beyond residential units, the facility integrates essential community services, including the Maria X Martinez Health Resource Center operated by the Department of Public Health, and a 6,000-square-foot commercial kitchen dedicated to Episcopal Community Services’ CHEFS culinary training program. The project’s design emphasizes both functionality and a welcoming atmosphere.
Priority Architectural Graphics played a key role in bringing this vision to life by delivering a comprehensive signage package that enhances both navigation and aesthetic appeal throughout the facility. Our scope encompassed the design, fabrication, and installation of exterior identity signage that establishes a strong presence in the neighborhood, as well as interior wayfinding and donor recognition systems that guide and honor visitors, residents and supporters. Priority’s collaborative approach with HCL and Cahill ensured that all signage elements complemented the architectural design and met the specific needs of this supportive housing environment.
