Montara (formerly Bay Meadows)  is an affordable housing complex in San Mateo, CA with 68 units and various multi-purpose and community use rooms. The main sign design used by Priority was a uniquely patterned panel that allowed for some creativity in material specs and resulted in some really beautiful room IDs and directionals. The Unit IDs were also built around the doorbells which brought about some challenges in aligning the backers and face plates perfectly so the doorbells were able to fit in the space allotted. Another fun part of the Unit IDs was a note clip incorporated into the design by APCO allowing users to slide a note up into the clip and and then letting users slide it to the side to remove it so the note doesn’t fall out, an innovative and practical design.
