In early 2022, the Islais Creek Park Interpretive Signage Project commenced with the goal of educating visitors about the rich heritage of this iconic San Francisco site. This endeavor showcased a successful collaboration between the public and private sectors, culminating in March 2023. Priority Architectural Graphics was honored to partner with Macchiotto Strategic Design on this significant project.
Priority Architectural Graphics was entrusted with the engineering, fabrication, and installation of fourteen interpretive signs that narrate the story of Islais Creek and its historical significance. These vibrant, three-dimensional signs incorporate embedded photography using DirectEmbed technology, ensuring durability and visual appeal. Crafted from materials selected to withstand the challenging marine environment, the signage effectively conveys the area’s history while enduring the test of time.
The project required meticulous attention to environmental considerations, materials approval, and precise placement and installation specifications. Given the involvement of numerous local government agencies, Priority Architectural Graphics adeptly navigated these complexities, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to excellence. This initiative not only revitalized the historic public park at Islais Creek, located near the Third Street Bridge in San Francisco, but also enriched the visitor experience by providing insightful educational resources.
