Sixteen members of the growing Priority Architectural Graphics team wrapped up the company teambuilding fun for 2018 with a cooking class held at Shin Dig. This was the company’s fourth, annual team cooking event, a popular group activity which was led by a professional chef from Cozymeal, Chef Phoebe and her assistant.

Each of Priority’s team cooking classes has been held at a unique venue, set up to allow the entire team to cook and then dine together at a large communal table.  During the cooking class, the group breaks into smaller groups each focused on a particular menu item. Skills in food selection, preparation and presentation are then taught at each station with team members moving around so there is non-stop interaction between all.

One team member aptly titled the theme of this year’s cooking class was “Ramen: Not Your Average Cup of Noodles!” The handmade ramen class Priority Graphics chose for their teambuilding event covered the essentials of the four types of ramen as well as the broth varieties including Miso, Shoyu, Tonkotsu and Tantan-men as well as providing employees an opportunity to get creative with their own signature ramen blends.

The Priority team made ramen noodles from scratch and then learned how to prepare the base broth which typically takes 16 hours to make (in this case, prepared by the chef). The team then chopped the ingredients for the ramen noodle dish and made side dishes for a shared feast at the end.

The company culture at Priority reinforces respect, collaboration and support across the extended team, all of which we were delighted to experience at our 2018 teambuilding event.
